Sporran, Black Daywear Style, "Ode to a Belly Box #2"
A day wear sporran is offered here in Black, my "Ode to a Belly Box #2". The flap is embellished with a hand tooled and hand painted with a design inspired by the Cypher from a Belly Box as used in the French and Indian War. The back and flap of the sporran are embellished with hand braided 2 loop lacing. The flap is secured closed by a Brass stud. The sporran is 7.5" long, 7" wide, and the gusset is 1.75" wide when fully extended. This sporran can be worn directly on a kilt belt, can be suspended from the sporran belt which is included. The sporran belt will be finished to a length specific to you upon purchase. The sporran is lined front and back. Please see pictures for details. All of my work is hand made by me.
Let me know if you have any questions by using the Green & White Chat button at the lower right hand corner of this page!
Note: This is not a replication of any extant sporran from the FIW period. It is simply a whimsy, if you will. I thought it would look cool, so I made one.
