Jacobite Baldric 18th Century, for Basket Hilt, Backswords, ECW, 2 Loop
Looking for a more period appropriate Baldric? Not easy to find are they? This is our first offering of our version of the Baldric for the Basket hilt or Backsword. It is made of a thick 8-9 oz veggie tanned cowhide that has been hand cut, hand dyed and manually hand sewn. It is dyed with our own dye mix, we call Antique Oak. It is entirely hand sewn to avoid using any metal rivets. The only metal being the Reproduction 18th Century brass 2 prong or 1 prong buckle . The Baldric has 5 sets of holes for lengths of 61" to 65". I can add more sets of holes if you require them. These now come with 2 belt keepers, which holds the excess belt in place, the first one is fixed and the second moves so you can place where it is most comfortable for you.
Left handed versions available upon request and no additional fee.
*The nickel buckle choice will be removed as a choice in future, as the nickel buckles are too scare to reliably offer as a choice. Pewter is now offered as a white metal buckle choice.*
We also can make these in black , brown or natural. We can also add Tooled Celtic embellishments for an additional fee.
This Baldric is appropriate for Jacobites, English Civil War, Seven Years War, Pirates, Fantasy, Renaissance, LARP, etc.
These baldrics are bespoke, made for each customer when ordered. Completion time is approximately 2 weeks and are built first come first serve, Shipping to the US & Canada is free.
